Q: What is counselling-therapy?

Q: Where are you located?
A: Appointments are currently offered at the Leighann Wichman Safe Place, located at Cape and Cowl Comics & Collectibles in Lower Sackville. For more information on Cape and Cowl, please visit (http://capeandcowlcomics.ca/).
Q: What are you hours of operation?
A: Monday: 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Tuesday: 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Friday: 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Occasional weekend appointments are available.

Q: Are your services covered under health plans?
A: Each health plan is unique, so please inquire regarding coverage before arriving for an appointment. Most plans require you pay at the time of appointment and seek reimbursement from your health plan provider.
Q: How do I make payments?
A: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, cash and cheque are all accepted forms for payment. Payment is required at the time of each appointment. This is to ensure that the best possible counselling relationship is maintained.
Unfortunately, debit is not accepted at this time.
Q: How do I know I can trust a RCT-C?
A: RCT-C is a formal designations given to those practicing counselling therapy and registered with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. For more information please visit NSCCT’s Website (http://nscct.ca/)
Q: How long is a session?
A: An initial consultation generally takes 60 minutes, while all other sessions are 45 minutes in length.
Q: How much does each session cost?
A: Each session costs $100 + HST.
Q: What can I expect during the first session?
A: During the first session, we will discuss the nature of the counselling relationship, explore the reasons for seeking counselling, and set some initial goals to ensure you get the most out of your counselling experience. This is the first chance to get to know one another, ask questions, and discuss expectations.
